Simon’s and Norah’s book is below. They came up with it together. It was illustrated by Simon and written by Norah, with Simon’s help. They need to work on their spelling, but otherwise, pretty good!

Sorry, I forgot about my blog page. We are in Annapolis right now. Yesterday we went to the park and we lost our frisbee into a tree! We tried to get it down with the help of some teenagers from another boat using a soccer ball, and we got the soccer ball stuck in the tree too! But then we got the soccer ball down.
Can you see the soccer ball or the blue donut frisbee?? 🙂

I got to throw flying fish off our boat when it landed there by mistake. I picked up the 2 largest fish. There were 5 all together.
Jokes for you (from National Geographic Kids, Just Joking book 8):
What do you call a sheep that can sing and dance? – Lady Baa Baa
What do you call a pig with sunburn? – Bacon!
What kind of dog cries all the time? – A Chi-waa-waa.

Simon wants to show his class his cast. His cast was decorated by his mom and sisters. Halyna drew the excellent Mario. He recommends that people slow down when approaching the tops of ladders so that they do not fall down them!

“I am looking forward to seeing more goats. I am looking forward to swimming in the ocean and different restaurants.”
That is exciting to see dolphins & especially flying fish! I have never seen a flying fish.
I love the picture of you with your Dad on the dingy. How do you like Sint Maarten? Much bigger than Carriacou I hear.
Is it fun to hook onto the tethers and move around the boat? I bet all of you, especially you and Norah practised that a lot so you are really good at it. I can’t wait to visit you later in the year and you can show me how it’s done.
Love Nanna
Such exciting news Simon. I saw your picture of your arm after the cast came off. Isn’t the thing to cut through the cast weird? Were you nervous? Your arm is really white where the cast was. Does it feel weird? Was it smelly when the cast came off?

Hi Simon;
I bet you had fun at the playground! Is that the first playground you have been to since you left Grenada? Your Mum said there is a pool at the marina. Is there one at the house you will stay at for the week? Which is better…..beach or pool?
Hi Simon;
I think your Mum said you were going to the pool at the marina today. We miss you here at my pool, although it’s pretty windy there right now. Best to stay in the pool when it’s windy!
Do you like the house you are in? I bet it feels a bit strange to go to sleep when the bed doesn’t rock back and forth with the waves.
Have fun this week and hopefully talk again soon.

Hi Simon; I have a couple jokes for you.
What did the 5oo pound canary say while walking down the street?
‘Here kitty, kitty, kitty.’
I was on the phone with my wife and said I was Almost home, please put the coffee maker on. After a pause I asked her if she was still there. She replied ‘I don’t think the coffee maker wants to talk right now.’
How is life on the boat? Are you happy to be heading to some warmer weather?
Love Nanna
At times, I find it very boring on the boat but we went to our neighbours boat today. We had fun there. There were mini pac-man games.
I am excited to finally head back to warmer weather because I like swimming in warmer weather.
What happened to the coffee pot, is it on fire? Why didn’t it want to talk?
Did the canary catch the cat? 🙂
It has been the best having all of you home for the past couple weeks. I hadn’t read your blog for quite awhile and loved your essay! That is interesting about the shape of the Giant Squid’s brain and the size of the eyeball!
Did you ever get the frisbee out of the tree? Or just the soccer ball?
I am hoping to visit you while you are in the Bahamas!

Hi Nanna,
No, we have been to playgrounds before Beaufort. I think a pool is better. There is no pool at the rental house.
Also, the flying fish were very stiff, dry and looked weird.
How are you doing?

No, we’ve been to a playground before that. The pool is better than the beach.How are you doing this week?
